Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is leading the NZT project at Redcar in the North East of England, delivering a major decarbonisation initiative with a focus on safety excellence. The Senior H&S Advisor will guide site teams, promote a proactive safety culture, and support the HSE Manager across all project phases.

The role requires NEBOSH/ Diploma level qualifications, IOSH GradIOSH membership, and a track record of managing health and safety on complex construction sites.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH / C&G Diploma L5+ is required.
• Experience in HSE within multi-discipline construction projects.
• Ability to prepare inspection/audit documents for stakeholders.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office 365 and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Promote HSE management and provide competent advice to the BEP Project HSE Manager.
• Develop and deliver safety training programmes for project personnel.
• Assist with risk assessments and conduct HSE compliance evaluations & audits.
• Investigate incidents and share lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Maintain records and data for HSE meetings and management reports.
• Interface with customers and joint venture partners in coordinating HSE matters.
• Chair project HS&W meetings and deputise for the HS&W Manager when required.
