Job summary

Turner & Townsend is a global professional services firm seeking an HSE professional to be embedded within a client organisation, supporting the safe delivery of major projects. The role focuses on governance, assurance and advice for HSE while the permanent recruitment is ongoing, with emphasis on major infrastructure and assisting the Head of Delivery in forming a new internal structure.

The role requires hands-on site visits, CDM 2015 compliance, and strong auditing capability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HSE roles in fissile environments, construction, utilities, site wide enabling works and major infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and Nuclear Licence Condition Handbook.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience conducting audits and producing reports with practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with relevant UK HSE legislation, focusing mainly on CDM Regulations 2015
• Ensure that Control of Contractor requirements and standards are fulfilled
• Carry out site audits and inspections of construction related activities
• Capture relevant LFE and ensure investigations are closed out working with the Project Management team to raise awareness and culture
• Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on safe working practices
• Develop robust HSE management systems tailored to major construction projects
• Monitor the HSE performance of contractor activities in line with CDM 2015
• Champion a proactive, safety-first culture across all levels of the site team
