Job summary

Amega Sciences plc, a member of the ICL group, is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment Assistant to uphold QEHS standards in a manufacturing setting. You will operate under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO13485, driving safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, audits, induction training, and strong collaboration with global functions to maintain KPIs and promote a safe working culture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a HSE role.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certified in NEBOSH General.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Full UK Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Interact with QEHS Management System and ensure compliance.
• Enforce activities related to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and applicable regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies with Site Management.
• Report on site HSE performance to senior management.
• Participate in meetings with Global Functions and present as required.
• Coordinate OH&S risk assessments upkeep.
• Manage HSE internal audits and nonconformance log.
• Deliver EHS induction training.
• Promote Quality, Environment and OH&S regulatory compliance to management.
• Ensure KPIs are met at site level and report to global EHS.
• Lead the HSE committee and foster a safe culture.
• Promote and check Manufacturing Quality Standards.
• Audit paperwork and compliance.
• Conduct safety walks across the site.
• Perform regular inspections for health and safety compliance.
• Manage quality-related activities and implement quality standards.
