Job summary

Aureos Capital is seeking an Assistant HSE Advisor to support the implementation and maintenance of HSE management systems across the HS2 Washwood Heath Depot project. You will help ensure compliance with legislation and company policies on site and across offices.

The role requires NEBOSH General Certificate and 1-2 years in an HSE role within infrastructure or construction. You will conduct site inspections, assist in risk assessments, and contribute to HSE training and records management.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent HSE qualification is essential.
• 1–2 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably infrastructure/construction.
• Strong understanding of HSE principles, legislation, and management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and review of HSE policies and safe work practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and non-compliance.
• Support investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assist in delivering HSE training and induction programs for employees and contractors.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation.
• Participate in risk assessments and development of risk mitigation strategies.
• Promote a positive safety culture through effective communication and engagement with all personnel.
• Support the HSE Manager/Advisor in all aspects of HSE management.
• Stay updated on relevant HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
