Job summary

Union Technical is seeking an HSE Advisor to support health and safety across Scotland, with office base in Thornliebank and regular inspections. The role combines advisory and compliance work, including documentation, audits and training, with a strong desk-based element.

You will conduct site inspections, support risk assessments and incident investigations, and help drive improvements in safety culture across the business. Travel across Scotland is required.

Qualifications

• IOSH qualification required at minimum.
• Health and safety experience in any industry sector.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance processes.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice.
• Exposure to management systems such as ISO 4501 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety processes and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections across Scotland, including the Highlands.
• Assist with risk assessments, RAMS reviews and safe systems of work.
• Support incident investigations, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with internal audits and compliance activities and maintain records.
