Job summary

Iconic Resourcing Ltd. are supporting Union Technical in appointing a HSE Advisor based in Thornliebank with regular site inspections across Scotland.

This full-time, permanent role focuses on advisory and compliance activities, inspections, audits, investigations and training, with a desk-based element. You will conduct site inspections across Scotland (including Highlands), assist with RAMS and risk assessments, and help ensure ISO 45001 compliance while building strong cross-team

Qualifications

• IOSH qualification (minimum).
• Health and safety experience in any sector.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance processes.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice.
• Familiarity with management systems such as ISO 45001 is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to challenge appropriately while maintaining positive relationships.
• Collaborative, pragmatic and approachable style.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland, including Highlands.

The role is based in the Thornliebank office, with regular site inspections across Scotland, including the Highlands (currently around once a fortnight). It is an advisory and compliance role focused on inspections, audits, investigations, documentation and training, with a significant desk-based element.

The Role

• Supporting the business in meeting ISO 45001 standards and best practice
• Delivering health and safety guidance, training and awareness initiatives
• Building positive working relationships with employees, site teams, managers and directors

About You

We’re keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• IOSH qualification as a minimum
• Health and safety experience gained in any industry sector
• Knowledge of risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance processes
• A good understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice
• Exposure to management systems such as ISO 45001, or an understanding of their importance would be beneficial
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The confidence to challenge when required while maintaining positive working relationships
• A collaborative, pragmatic and approachable style
• A full UK driving licence and happyto travel across Scotland, including the Highlands, as required
