Job summary

Iconic Resourcing Ltd. are supporting Union Technical in appointing a HSE Advisor based in Thornliebank with regular site inspections across Scotland.

This full-time, permanent role focuses on advisory and compliance activities, inspections, audits, investigations and training, with a desk-based element. You will conduct site inspections across Scotland (including Highlands), assist with RAMS and risk assessments, and help ensure ISO 45001 compliance while building strong cross-team

Qualifications

• IOSH qualification (minimum).
• Health and safety experience in any sector.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance processes.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice.
• Familiarity with management systems such as ISO 45001 is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to challenge appropriately while maintaining positive relationships.
• Collaborative, pragmatic and approachable style.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland, including Highlands.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety processes and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections across Scotland, including the Highlands.
• Assist with risk assessments, RAMS reviews and safe systems of work.
• Support incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Assist with internal audits and compliance activities.
• Maintain health and safety records, documentation and reporting requirements.
• Support ISO 45001 standards and best practice.
• Deliver health and safety guidance, training and awareness initiatives.
• Build positive working relationships with employees, site teams, managers and directors.
