Job summary

Hybrid Solutions Group is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to work on-site with engineers and operations teams. The role focuses on inspections, RAMS, training records, onboarding, and ongoing compliance across contracting projects including highways, rail, street lighting and EV infra.

The successful candidate will have TechIOSH membership and strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, with on-site experience in engineering or utilities.

Qualifications

• TechIOSH membership or working towards it.
• Experience in a Health & Safety Advisor, H&S Coordinator or compliance role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience in engineering, utilities, infrastructure, construction or similar environments.
• Excellent organisation and administration with attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills and confidence using compliance systems.
• Clear communication engaging engineers/managers on site.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across operational contracts.
• Conduct engineer compliance inspections and support vehicle and asset compliance programmes.
• Manage H&S training records and competency matrices, including RAMS and refresher dates.
• Coordinate onboarding for new starters across client and internal systems.
• Support RAMS review for routine activities and keep documentation audit-ready.
• Review risk assessments and procedures to stay current and compliant.
• Support document and policy control across the business.
• Assist with maintenance and calibration schedules for equipment.
• Close out corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
• Promote a positive, proactive safety culture with operational teams.
• Assist the SHEQ Manager in maintaining and developing management systems.
