Job summary

Sustainable Talent is seeking an HSE Advisor for a 6-month contract in the Renewables and Energy sector, based in Cumbria. The role requires a strong HSE background within Power Transmission and Distribution, with experience on DNO networks and familiarity with SSEN/ENW/SPEN.

The successful candidate will hold NEBOSH level qualifications, a SHEA Power accreditation would be beneficial and must be able to interview and start promptly. Start date October 2026; competitive day rate.

Qualifications

• Strong HSE background in Power Transmission & Distribution.
• Experience with DNO networks preferred.
• NEBOSH level or higher accreditation.
• SHEA Power accreditation favourable.
• Experience using TOP-SET for incident investigations.

HSE Advisor required for a contract opportunity within our Renewables and Energy sector

LOCATION: Cumbria

DURATION: 6 months

START DATE: October 2026

The right candidate will need to have the following:

• Strong HSE background and experience within the Power Transmission and Distribution sector (Overhead Lines/Cable routes/T&D)
• Experience within DNO networks would be of strong benefit
• SSEN/ENW/SPEN experience, highly beneficial
• Must have relevant HSE accreditations up to and including NEBOSH level
• SHEA Power accreditation would be favourable
• Experience of using TOP-SET for carrying out incident investigations
• Ability to interview immediately and start as soon as possible
