RG Setsquare seeks an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for a major energy infrastructure project in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. You will promote a positive safety culture and provide day-to-day HSE guidance to site teams on a large-scale site.

Responsibilities include inspections, RAMS reviews, toolbox talks and inductions, and investigations into incidents and near-misses, ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation. NEBOSH NG Certificate required; accommodation provided.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as Health & Safety Advisor in construction/engineering/utilities.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and risk management.
• Experience conducting site inspections and RAMS reviews.
• Strong communication and proactive safety approach.
• Advantage: experience with electrical infrastructure/HV projects.

We are recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of our client, an established engineering contractor working on a major energy infrastructure project in Peterhead.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive H&S professional to support safe project delivery, work closely with site teams and promote a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day–to–day health and safety advice to site management, engineers and subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety tours, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and monitor compliance with safe systems of work.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and site inductions.
• Support incident and near–miss investigations, identifying root causes and preventative measures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, site procedures and project–specific H&S requirements.
• Maintain accurate H&S documentation and promote continuous improvement across site operations.

About You

• Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within construction, engineering, utilities or a similar environment.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and risk management.
• Experience conducting site inspections and reviewing RAMS.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
• Experience in electrical infrastructure, power transmission, substations or HVDC projects would be advantageous.
