Job summary

EDF Energy Limited is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor for major infrastructure projects at the Hinkley Point C site. The role focuses on providing day-to-day safety guidance, conducting audits, RAMS reviews and incident investigations to promote a strong safety culture across site operations.

Ideal candidates hold NEBOSH certificates, have UK health & safety knowledge, and can engage stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General/Construction Certs are essential.
• UK health and safety legislation knowledge.
• RAMS review and implementation experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
• Good organisational and IT skills.
• Ability to work independently within a project team.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day health and safety advice to site management and operations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and behavioural observations for improvement.
• Monitor compliance with UK health and safety legislation and RAMS.
• Support RAMS development and safe systems of work.
• Investigate accidents and incidents; implement corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to engage the workforce.
• Maintain safety records and communicate performance to the SHEQ Lead.
• Coordinate with client representatives and management to raise safety standards.
