Job summary

Natural Power seeks an HSE Advisor to join the Central Scotland office. The role focuses on delivering the 2030 HSEQ Strategy, providing expert HSE guidance and supporting risk management across sites. You will inspect sites, investigate incidents, and collaborate with clients and the NP HSEQ team.

The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with hybrid working (3 days office/site, 2 days WFH) and a travel expectation of 30-40%.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Renewable Energy HSE, especially wind.
• Currently working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the 2030 HSEQ Strategy.
• Provide technical HSE advice, guidance and support to the business.
• Engage with teams and build strong relationships within your chain of command.
• Ensure activities comply with industry best practice, regulatory requirements and internal systems.
• Undertake regular site inspections and produce formal reports.
• Assist with risk management process checks and implementation of actions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses under Natural Power standards.
• Support client representatives on HSE topics.
• Promote and implement the 2030 HSEQ Strategy with the wider NP HSEQ team.
• Attend industry meetings/workshops representing Natural Power as required.
• Travel expectations approx. 30-40%.

As we continue to grow, we are now seeking to strengthen our HSE Team with a HSE Advisor at our Central Scotland office.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Work with the HSE Manager to ensure the delivery of the 2030 HSEQ Strategy.
• Provide effective technical HSE advice, guidance and support to the business
• Engage and develop strong relationships across the business but especially within your chain of command
• Ensure that business activities are carried out in accordance with recognised industry best practice, Regulatory requirements and Internal Management Systems
• Undertake regular site inspections as defined in the Inspection Plan and produce formal reports using reporting software to record inspections.
• Undertake regular checks of risk management processes ensuring appropriate risks and opportunities have been identified and are being implemented
• Provide expert support to investigate incidents, accidents and near miss events in accordance to Natural Power standards
• Support client representatives on all HSE related topics
• Work with the wider NP HSEQ team to promote and implement 2030 HSEQ Strategy including continuous improvement of performance through projects, initiatives and improvement plans.
• Challenge the norm by innovating and improving the way we work whilst keeping pace with industry change and promote successes.
• Develop and deliver HSE training where required
• Support HSE governance structure
• Sit on industry meetings and workshops acting as Natural Power representative as required
• Travel expectations approx. 30-40%

Skills Required:

• Extensive and demonstrable experience in Renewable Energy HSE, in particular Wind
• To have or is working towards NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)

This is a PERMANENT role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday - Hybrid working - 3 day office/site - 2 days WFH.
