Job summary

Natural Power is seeking a Principal Ecologist to join our Ecology & Hydrology team, supporting renewable energy projects across the UK and Ireland. The role sits within the Consenting & Environment Department and offers hybrid working with offices in Glasgow, Stirling or other UK locations.

You will lead ecological assessments, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to EIAs, HRAs and biodiversity enhancement plans, while also helping with business development and staff mentoring.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of habitats, habitat management and ECoW/EnvCoW is essential.
• Experience on complex renewable projects is essential with experience of DCO beneficial.

We are now seeking to strengthen our Ecology & Hydrology team with a Principal Ecologist.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Principal Ecologist to join our Ecology & Hydrology team, which sits within our Consenting & Environment Department. The team are based at various locations in the UK working on an exciting and diverse workload, delivering high quality support for renewable energy projects at all phases across the UK and Ireland.

The role will involve:

• management of several complex projects;

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This position allows for hybrid working with office time based from one of our offices in either Inverness, Glasgow, Stirling or Horsley.
