HS2 Quality Engineer: Handover & Completions

Job summary

EKFB seeks a competent Quality Engineer to work within a section of the HS2 project, embedding quality documentation into Construction Delivery. You will ensure completions records are collected and retained to enable progressive handover of structures as part of project completion.

The role reports to the Section Quality Manager and involves close collaboration with delivery teams and client representatives.

Qualifications

• Competent Quality Engineer with proven experience implementing document quality control and assurance
• Experience in fast-paced, dynamic teams
• Knowledge of quality assurance and handover best practices
• Experience using digital systems to support completions record keeping
• Flexible approach to prioritising and delivering to deadlines
• Good organisational and written/verbal communication skills
• Collaborative team player with stakeholders
• Commitment to continuous development
• Driving licence and access to vehicle

Responsibilities

• Drive the process of collating information for handing over completed documentation to achieve L3 certification
• Understand and implement quality, technical assurance and completions requirements with construction teams
• Support delivery of quality and completions activities to ensure timely handover of project assets
• Build relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders to deliver quality aspects
• Use IT systems to manage quality and completions documentation and records
• Work with delivery teams to plan product realization through inspection and test plans
• Communicate the benefits and knowledge of the Business Management System
• Support the Section Quality & Completions Manager
• Promote Speak Up and Choices initiatives
