Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Construction Assurance Manager to provide client-side assurance on HS2 civil engineering works. The role requires an active on-site presence with a minimum of four days per week on site and potential one remote day as the role establishes.

You will review ITPs/WPPs/CPPs/RAMs, monitor contractor performance for safety and quality, and report unsafe practices while ensuring adherence to approved plans. A valid UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Construction Manager, General Foreman or Engineer.
• Experience on major civils projects (rail/roads/earthworks, etc.).
• Valid UK driving license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor documentation (ITPs, WPPs, CPPs, RAMs).
• Monitor site operations for safety and quality compliance.
• Identify unsafe practices and deviations from approved plans.
• Engage with site teams to verify activities are performed as specified.
