Job summary

NG Bailey is recruiting for a senior HRIS/Payroll leader in Leeds to drive governance, performance, and evolution of Dayforce. You will lead a team of analysts, champion process automation, data quality, and user adoption while aligning HRIS with the organisation’s strategic plan.

You’ll oversee system patches, upgrades and training, ensuring GDPR compliance and strong stakeholder engagement across HR and Payroll. This is a hybrid role based in Leeds with 2-3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of HR/Payroll systems.
• Significant experience of HR and Payroll systems, within a large and complex organisation.
• Proven experience of managing a team.
• Solid knowledge of SAP HCM or equivalent employee systems.
• Knowledge of SQL, XML writing and Excel skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Experience of providing administrative support to projects.
• Good communication.
• Practical experience of supporting/leading CI projects.
• Testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the People Systems Team and HRIS governance.
• Align HRIS development and service enhancements with organisational strategy.
• Ensure HRIS remains fit-for-purpose through roadmap planning.
• Lead reviews of business processes and drive digital transformation.
• Govern delivery of system enhancements with high quality and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee escalation handling and maintain SLA alignment with Helpdesk.
• Act as Data Steward for GDPR and information governance.
• Champion system training and data governance across the organisation.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance user efficiency and data integrity.
• Lead user requirements definition and act as advisor to HR/Payroll stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and the HRIS vendor (Dayforce).
• Provide feedback to vendor and promote internal development initiatives.
• Provide strategic leadership to the People Systems Team and plan workforce staffing.
