Job summary

GBR Recruitment are supporting a leading, progressive East Midlands construction company to recruit an experienced HR Manager. The role is a true HR Generalist (360) responsible for HR/ER/Payroll across the organisation, reporting to the HR Director and guiding a small HR team.

Based on-site at the Leicester HQ five days a week, the role requires CIPD Level 5 or 7, strong payroll exposure and a track record of operating in 500+ employee environments.

Qualifications

• Strong HR/ER & Employee Engagement experience.
• A true 360 degree HR generalist
• Strong payroll knowledge / experience
• Operates in organisations with 500+ employees
• Strong knowledge of Well-being, Diversity & Full inclusion (EDI)
• CIPD L5 or L7 qualified
• Strong HRIS experience
• Up to date knowledge of employment law & best practice
• Team player and supportive of others

Responsibilities

• Lead HR/ER function with 360-degree generalist duties.
• Oversee payroll processing in collaboration with Payroll Manager.
• Drive recruitment, absence management, disciplinaries & grievances; provide employment-law guidance.
• Lead people planning, resourcing and restructuring as HRBP.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and L&D plans.
• Partner with SMT as HRBP across the business.
• Lead HR/ER projects and continuous process improvements.
