Job description

Hays HR are currently recruiting for a Permanent Regional HRBP to work for a growing business in Harrogate. You will be required to attend Head Office in Harrogate once per week and spend two days per week at other Yorkshire-based sites and two days working from home.
You will work as part of a team who report to the Head of HR. This role provides advice and support to Line Managers on people issues. You will act as a point of contact for all general day-to-day HR issues and cover all complex ER. Alongside this you will take the lead on various new and ongoing HR projects.

Duties will include:

  1. Supporting managers to ensure all people-driven activities are conducted in line with employment legislation and best practice.
  2. Ensure that all company policies and procedures are updated and communicated to all sites.
  3. Provide advice on HR issues in accordance with company policies/ procedures and relevant employment legislation.
  4. High volume support to line managers in relation to discipline and grievance issues as appropriate and ensure a HR presence throughout the relevant procedure.
  5. Provide guidance on maternity/paternity leave and flexible working requests.
  6. Undertake ad-hoc projects.
  7. Carry out any other tasks as may reasonably be requested by the Head of HR in your role as HRBP.

What you'll need to succeed:
  1. High-volume fast-paced experience is preferred.
  2. Multi-site experience is also preferred.
  3. Coaching, development and organisational skills.
  4. Strong relationship building skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  5. Thrive in a busy pressurised environment.
  6. Experience of dealing with ER (disciplines, grievances, performance management etc).
