Job summary

Vital Energi is offering an HR & Training Apprenticeship (Level 3 CIPD) in Blackburn. You’ll support HR and training activities from day one while studying towards the Level 3 CIPD qualification, gaining hands-on experience in a busy, supportive team. Location Century House, Roman Road, Blackburn; 37.5 hours per week; duration 18–24 months; start date 2026. The programme provides mentoring, day release or workplace visits, and a clear pathway into a long-term HR career.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Genuine interest in Human Resources and people development.
• Excellent organisation and detail orientation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team player with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee records, personnel files and HR databases.
• Support onboarding and prepare new starter documentation.
• Assist with recruitment administration and interview scheduling.
• Coordinate training activities and course bookings.
• Draft HR correspondence and maintain records.
• Monitor absence records and update employee information.
• Support the administration of learning and development activities.
• Handle confidential information professionally.
