Job summary

The Harbour Schools Partnership in Exeter, UK is seeking an HR Systems Development Officer to implement and develop the new HR and Payroll system, configuring HR workflows and user functionality to meet school needs.

The role acts as a link between end users, the implementation team and People team, helping to design, test and roll out system changes. It is a fixed-term maternity cover, 13 hours per week, 41 weeks per year, starting October 2026.

Qualifications

• Understanding of key HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes and employee records
• Experience of supporting HR and/or payroll administration processes
• Understanding of payroll administration processes

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and development of the HR and Payroll system to configure HR workflows and user functionality
• Act as a key link between end users, the software implementation team and People team, helping to design, test and refine HR workflows
• Assist with training and rollout across the Trust and provide end-user perspective on system development
