Job summary

The Royal Household is seeking an experienced HR Systems Analyst to ensure our HR, payroll and recruitment platforms are reliable, secure and user friendly. You will play a key role in delivering system improvements and reporting that supports workforce insights.

Qualifications

  • Experience administering, configuring and supporting HR systems (core HR, payroll or recruitment).
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills; turning data into meaningful MI.
  • Experience delivering system improvements, upgrades or implementations; requirements, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to gather requirements, test, and troubleshoot system changes.
  • Clear documentation, guidance or training for users around systems.
  • Proactive optimisation of processes, self-service, automation and UX.
  • Strong organisational skills; managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and relationships across HR, Digital and suppliers.
  • Understanding GDPR, data governance and secure handling of information.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operation of HR, payroll and recruitment systems to stay reliable and secure.
  • Lead as SME and super user; resolve complex queries with suppliers and Digital Services.
  • Deliver technical improvements: requirements, testing, implementation and adoption.
  • Improve processes and user experience; expand self-service and automation.
  • Protect data quality and security through controls and audits in line with GDPR.
  • Develop reports, dashboards and workforce insights for stakeholders.
  • Produce guidance, documentation and training; build system user confidence.
  • Shape future HR technology; support procurement, integrations and transition to BAU.

Job description

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours of work 37.5 hours a week over 5 days (Monday to Friday)

Effective HR technology is essential to supporting this varied workforce. As HR Systems Analyst, you will ensure that our HR, payroll and recruitment systems are reliable, effective and easy to use, helping employees, managers and HR colleagues access the services and information they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operationof our HR,payrolland recruitment systems, ensuring theyremainreliable,secureand responsive to organisational needs.
  • Act asthesubjectmatter expert and lead super user, resolvingcomplexqueries and working with suppliers and Digital Servicestoaddress technical issues andmaintainsystem performance.
  • Lead the technical delivery ofsystem enhancements,upgradesand releases,includingrequirements gathering, testing, implementation and user adoption.
  • Improve processesand the user experience byidentifyingopportunities to expandself-service,make better use of existing functionality and introduceappropriateautomation.
  • Protect thequality,integrityand security of employee data through effective controls, regularauditsand compliance withGDPR, organisational policies and data governance standards.
  • Developreports, dashboards and workforce insightsthat help stakeholdersunderstand people trends andmakewell-informed decisions.
  • Build confidence and capability among system users by producing clearguidance,maintainingsystemdocumentationanddeliveringtraining.
  • Help shape future HRtechnology, supportingsystemprocurement and implementation, data preparation, integrations,testingand transitionto business as usual.

About you
Essential Criteria
  • Experience administering,configuringand supporting HRSystems,such as core HRpayroll or recruitmentplatforms.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with experience turning data into clear,accurateand meaningful management information.
  • Experiencedeliveringsystem improvements,upgradesor implementation activities, includingrequirements gathering,testing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong systems and process analysis skills, with the ability tounderstanduser needs, diagnoseissues andimplementpractical solutions.
  • Experienceproducingclear systemdocumentation,userguidanceortraining,with the ability to explaintechnical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement, withexperience ofidentifyingopportunities to improve processes, self-service,automationand user experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across HR, Digital and external suppliers.
  • A sound understanding of GDPR, data governance and thesecurehandling of sensitive employee information.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experienceusingbusiness intelligence, reportingor workforce analytics tools.
  • Experienceadministering orsupportingmore than one type of people system, such asrecruitment,learningor performance management systems.
  • Experience working with system integrations, automatedprocessesor interconnected platforms.
  • Experience contributing toHR systems implementation or user acceptance testing (UAT).
