Job summary

Lovey is recruiting a HR and Recruitment Advisor to join our Birmingham City Centre office. This permanent, full‑time role supports onboarding, HR operations and recruitment across the business.

You will compile offer letters, conduct right‑to‑work checks, maintain records, assist with ER cases, payroll data entry and interview scheduling, all while upholding a diverse and compliant workplace.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a HR administration/advisor role.
  • CIPD or equivalent qualifications minimum level 3.
  • Strong understanding of all HR disciplines.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • To apply a self-learning attitude to keep skills relevant and updated.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Compile offer letters and contracts to be sent out to prospective hires.
  • Support onboarding documents related to new starters and ensure compliance and accurate record keeping.
  • Assist candidates post offer to ensure a seamless process to start date when joining the organisation.
  • Support with the obtaining of references for employees joining the business.
  • Assist with onboarding and induction processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Support Line Managers with ordering new employees.
  • Support sourcing equipment via IT provider and ensure timely arrangements.
  • Right to work checks for nationals and non-UK members with sharecodes for compliance.
  • Support with sponsorship of candidates.
  • Deliver high quality HR services to management and staff.
  • Provide professional advice and help managers interpret HR policies and procedures.
  • Promote good employee relations and legal compliance.
  • Support ER cases and disciplinary/grievance procedures including coaching managers.
  • Maintain accurate case files and employee records.
  • Advise on sickness absence and reporting of records.
  • Provide advisory support on employee matters and assist with meetings as required.
  • Manage HR-related administrative tasks and subject access requests.
  • Produce documentation for meetings and employee lifecycle communications.
  • Coordinate payroll data entry onto HRIS and support monthly payroll.
  • Support internal employee surveys and engagement initiatives.
  • Update HRIS for real-time data and assist audits.

HR Advisor:Onboarding:

  • Keepaccuraterecords, including case files asrequired.
  • Support with disciplinary and grievance procedures. To includecoachingmanagers with investigations.

  • To provide and elevate whereappropriate asupport and advisory serviceon employee items.

HR General Duties
  • Support HR compliance and documentation, ensuring all employee records aremaintainedaccurately.
  • To produce documentation for employees related to meeting outcomes at meetings, roles changes, and all other forms of communications related to the employee lifecycle.
  • Coordinate payroll dataentry onto HRIS system and ad hoc records as required.
  • Supportwithinformation tothepayrolldepartmentin a timely mannerformonthly payroll.
  • Support withinternal employee surveys.
  • Help with employee engagement initiatives,toincludeorganising company events and wellness programs.
  • To update the HRIS portal to ensure real-time dataandaccuraterecord keeping.
  • To support with audits to ensure employee compliance.
Talent
  • Support as requiredby thebusiness withthe sourcing andrecruitment of vacancies.
  • Creation of job descriptions.
  • Ensure that all internal approval flows are completed.
  • Arrange and conduct interviews asand whenrequired.
  • Supportwith issuing of offer lettersin ordertocommencethe on-boarding process.
  • Ensure compliance of allcandidates during the employee life cycle.
  • Attend recruitmentevents asrequired.
  • Where necessary handle any administrative responsibilities related to talent, jobs boards, systems, etc.
Additional Duties
  • Achieve a paperless system where possible.
  • Provide data asrequiredinternally and for external legal requirements.
  • Attend meetings internally and externally in an Advisor capacity depending on the business needs.
  • To support the HR Advisor andTalent Business Partner as required by the business.
  • Anyadditionalduties as may be required by the HR department.
