Job summary

Spirehouse Recruitment is recruiting an HR Projects and Policy Officer for a six-month fixed-term contract on behalf of a leading university in Essex. The role is hybrid, with two days on campus and Wednesdays based in Chelmsford, requiring focused delivery of people projects and policy developments.

You will plan and deliver HR projects, support organisational change programmes including redundancies, and maintain records to underpin reporting and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR policy development, review or implementation.
• Experience supporting/delivering HR projects, with planning, coordination and reporting.
• Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and its application in HR policy.
• Strong project management and organisational skills in a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver people projects and initiatives.
• Coordinate organisational change activity, including redundancy programmes.
• Maintain accurate records to support reporting and process delivery.
• Develop, review and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with UK legislation; draft policy documentation and support governance.
