Job summary

A modern multi academy trust is seeking an experienced HR People Partner to join its People and Culture Team. This role offers term-time working with options for a 52-week contract and remote delivery to support leaders across schools while maintaining a strong work–life balance.

You will act as a trusted adviser on complex employee relations, drive workforce development, and lead initiatives to promote wellbeing, inclusion and continuous improvement across the trust’s schools.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing complex employee relations casework.
• Strong generalist HR knowledge and understanding of UK employment law.
• Confident building credible relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, influencing and coaching skills.
• Organised, resilient, and able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, safeguarding and continuous improvement.
• Experience in schools/academies/education (or strong desire to support educational organisations).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee relations and people management.
• Manage complex disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and investigation processes.
• Support leaders to build confidence and capability in people management.
• Lead wellbeing, engagement and workforce development initiatives.
• Ensure HR policies and practices are legally compliant and aligned to best practice.
• Support recruitment, talent management and succession planning across the trust.
• Use people data and insight to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
