Job summary

TEAM is seeking an HR Manager in Colchester to shape how people are supported across the business, blending hands-on employee relations with strategic projects that enhance HR operations.

You'll work with managers and senior leaders in a fast-paced environment, guiding practical HR delivery while strengthening engagement, performance and compliance. This role leads digitising processes and policies as the business grows.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrable employee relations expertise and experience supporting managers through complex workplace matters.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and Right to Work compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day professional people advice, guiding managers through employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, absence and performance.
• Support recruitment, selection and onboarding while ensuring processes reflect business requirements, company values and right-to-work obligations.
• Maintain accurate employee records, visa information and compliance documentation across Sage People and associated files.
• Work alongside an external consultant to maintain contracts, policies and the staff handbook in line with UK employment legislation and best practice.
• Lead the rollout of a new people platform, digitising documentation and developing more effective internal processes.
• Support senior leaders with development initiatives and wider projects covering engagement, wellbeing, benchmarking, job descriptions and recruitment.
