Job summary

Lawrence Dean Recruitment has an opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor in Hatfield to join a client-focused People team.

You will deliver day-to-day HR guidance to line managers, handle employee relations cases, coach managers, and support HR projects and recruitment activities. The role offers hybrid working after probation and a strong development path.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor/People Advisor/HR Officer role or similar generalist HR position.
• Strong experience with employee relations, including disciplinary, absence and performance matters.
• Confidently advise and support line managers on HR issues.
• Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to line managers on employee relations matters.
• Support and manage disciplinary, absence, performance, conduct and capability cases.
• Coach and support managers to handle people-related issues confidently.
• Advise on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and wider employee lifecycle activities.
• Collaborate with the People Manager on engagement, wellbeing and development initiatives.
• Get involved in HR projects, including implementing a new HR system.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and ways of working.

HR Advisor – Benefits Offered

• Salary £35,000 £40,000 depending on experience
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service

HR Advisor – Job Overview

• Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
• Organised, approachable and able to manage sensitive situations professionally
• A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved in a variety of HR activities
• CIPD qualification desirable, although relevant experience is equally important
