Job summary

Astute Recruitment Ltd seeks an interim HR Manager for a Derby-based role to cover long-term sickness until December. You will manage all HR functions for about 500 employees, including onboarding, contracts, right-to-work checks, disciplinaries, grievances and payroll hour collations for weekly staff.

The role is office-based with 8:30am–5:00pm hours, onsite parking and flexible options; salary £40,000–£50,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• End-to-end HR experience with onboarding, offboarding and contracts management.
• Experience handling right-to-work checks and disciplinary/grievance processes.
• Knowledge of maternity/paternity SSP and holiday entitlement processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all HR activities for ~500 staff.
• Collate hours for weekly paid employees for payroll submission.
• Issue contracts and maintain accurate employee records.
• Handle maternity/paternity, SSP, holiday queries and welfare concerns.
• Attend senior management meetings and identify training needs.

Job description

Interim opportunity for a Derby based company until December has arisen to cover long-term sick. The role will be responsible for all aspects of HR for around 500 employees as well as collating hours for the weekly paid employees and sending to their outsourced payroll provider

Duties will include:

• On boarding / off boarding employees
• Issuing contracts
• Right to work checks
• Employee disciplinaries and grievances
• Maternity / paternity / SSP / holiday queries
• Employee welfare and well being
• Accurate record keepingIdentifying any training needs
• Attending senior meetings
• Collating and checking all hours for weekly paid factory staff
• Time and attendance

They are a friendly team, hours of work are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday although they can be flexible on these, onsite parking, this is a fully office-based role. Salary depending on experience. £40,000 - £50,000.
