Job summary

Astute Financial, based in Derby, is seeking an interim HR professional to cover all HR activities for around 500 employees until December. You will manage onboarding, contracts, payroll collations, and liaise with the outsourced payroll provider.

The role is office-based with hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with onsite parking. Salary £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience handling HR for a large workforce (approx. 500 employees).
• Experience implementing onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Familiar with right-to-work checks and disciplinary/grievance procedures.
• Experience collating hours for payroll and liaising with payroll providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and offboarding processes for staff.
• Issue contracts and manage HR documentation.
• Conduct right-to-work checks and handle disciplinary/grievance cases.
• Coordinate maternity/paternity/SSP/holiday queries and welfare concerns.
• Maintain accurate HR records and identify training needs.
• Attend senior meetings and contribute to HR strategy.

Job description

Interim opportunity for a Derby based company until December has arisen to cover long-term sick. The role will be responsible for all aspects of HR for around 500 employees as well as collating hours for the weekly paid employees and sending to their outsourced payroll provider

Duties will include:

• On boarding / off boarding employees
• Issuing contracts
• Right to work checks
• Employee disciplinaries and grievances
• Maternity / paternity / SSP / holiday queries
• Employee welfare and well being
• Accurate record keeping
• Identifying any training needs
• Attending senior meetings
• Collating and checking all hours for weekly paid factory staff
• Time and attendance

They are a friendly team, hours of work are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday although they can be flexible on these, onsite parking, this is a fully office-based role. Salary depending on experience. £40,000 – £50,000.
