Job summary

Seymour John Limited in Tamworth is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join a well-established business on a part-time basis. This hands-on role covers day-to-day HR support, advising managers and employees, recruitment onboarding, and maintaining accurate HR records.

You will own a varied workload, identify process improvements, and help implement new HR practices. The position is office-based with hours 09:00-15:00 Monday to Thursday, and salary negotiable depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong generalist HR experience in an officer/advisor role.
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Hands-on experience handling employee relations cases.
• Ability to coach and support managers effectively.
• Experience with recruitment and onboarding processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical day-to-day HR advice to managers and staff.
• Handle employee relations including absence, discipline and grievances.
• Coach managers through people-related challenges.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and inductions.
• Maintain HR documentation and lifecycle records.
• Keep policies up to date and look for process improvements.
