Job summary

Barnsley College is seeking a professional and customer-focused Human Resources Officer to join our HR team. You will provide high-quality advice and support to managers and staff across a wide range of HR activities, helping to deliver an effective HR service.

In this role you will handle employee relations matters such as sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance procedures, recruitment, and HR administration, while maintaining accurate records and workforce data.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Human Resources environment.
• Good understanding of employment legislation, HR procedures and best practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality advice and support to managers and employees across a wide range of HR activities to deliver an effective HR service.
• Handle employee relations matters including sickness absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, recruitment activities and HR administration.
• Maintain accurate employee records, monitor and report on workforce data, support salary administration processes and contribute to HR policies and initiatives.
