Job summary

The Hyndburn Academy is seeking an experienced HR Officer to support daily HR services for staff and leadership teams. The role covers recruitment, payroll changes, onboarding, and absence management, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and accuracy.

You will work with the Cluster HR Manager and colleagues across partner schools to ensure compliant HR practices, effective communications, and timely reporting using iTrent and other ICT tools.

Qualifications

• Be an experienced HR professional.
• Share our moral purpose of supporting students’ education in a caring environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and knowledge of ICT packages.
• High standard of literacy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for all HR-related queries, providing timely and professional responses.
• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance.
• Support Cluster HR Manager with investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Manage onboarding (including inductions) and probation for new hires, with right to work checks.
• Maintain and update induction materials reflecting changes in the business.
• Maintain accurate HR records and iTrent data; monthly reporting.
• Coordinate and manage Occupational Health provision for the school.
