Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust in Blackburn is seeking an experienced HR Officer to provide a range of administrative and practical HR services across the school cluster. You will handle recruitment, onboarding, new starters and leavers, payroll changes, and confidential HR matters reporting to the Cluster HR Manager.

You will advise managers on HR policies, maintain records (iTrent), support investigations and disciplinary processes, manage inductions, and ensure right-to-work compliance.

Qualifications

• First point of contact for all HR-related queries, providing timely and professional responses.
• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance with employment law and policy.
• Support investigations and disciplinary processes for the school cluster.

Responsibilities

• Provide onboarding (inductions) and probation management for new hires.
• Maintain accurate HR records and documents, including contracts and files.
• Coordinate and manage Occupational Health provision within the school.
