As an HR Officer – Detachment Commander, you will be given significant responsibility from day 1. You will command, lead, and manage 18 highly motivated soldiers in delivering personnel administration. Joining our Staff and Personnel Support (SPS) Branch, you'll provide personnel administrative support to the wider Army. You will oversee the physical and professional development of your detachment and assist senior leadership with personnel and security matters. No two days are the same, and you will have opportunities to deploy around the world.
Your training will be affiliated with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), and you will have opportunities to build professional qualifications and accreditation, such as a degree in HR Management or Business.
To qualify, you must be between 17 years 9 months and 29 years 11 months and pass a basic fitness test.

As an entry-level Officer, you will begin your career in a management position, commanding responsibility for your team of soldiers. No prior experience is required – through world-class training at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, you will develop leadership skills and qualifications to motivate and support your team.
Beyond the Royal Military Academy, you will continue to learn and grow. Being an Officer is a global adventure, whether leading expeditions, managing operations abroad, or delivering humanitarian aid.
