Job summary

Office Angels seeks an experienced Group HR Officer (CIPD Level 5) to join our UK Group HR team. This role supports multiple sites, handles complex employee relations cases, and drives HR projects. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this position.

You will provide HR advice to managers, manage recruitment and onboarding, lead the apprenticeship programme, and maintain our HRIS and reporting without compromising compliance with UK employment law.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a HR Officer/HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
  • Strong employee relations experience and ability to manage complex cases independently.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law.
  • Experience managing recruitment campaigns and onboarding.
  • Experience using HR systems and producing management reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential).

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional HR advice and support to managers across the business, ensuring consistent application of policies and employment law.
  • Manage a wide range of employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, capability and performance issues.
  • Coach and support managers on HR best practice and employment law.
  • Support organisational change, restructures and consultation processes.
  • Manage recruitment from advertising vacancies through to offers, contracts and onboarding.
  • Prepare employment contracts and HR documentation.
  • Lead and develop the apprenticeship programme, working with colleges, apprentices and managers.
  • Maintain HRIS, ensure accurate records and produce HR reports and KPI dashboards.
  • Support payroll processes where required.
  • Manage employee communications and the company intranet.
  • Coordinate the Drug & Alcohol testing programme.
  • Support Group HR Director with HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and GDPR.

The Role

About You

We're looking for someone who is confident, organised and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent).
