Job description

We are seeking an experienced and organised HR Manager to support MAG's Syria programme during its expansion. This operational HR role covers administrative and legal frameworks across Northeast, Northwest, and Central Syria. Working closely with MAG's Syria and regional Middle East teams, you will:

  1. Design and implement proactive recruitment strategies for local and international roles.
  2. Advise on local employment laws, contract modalities, and HR systems development.
  3. Ensure the People and Culture function is transparent, accessible, and legally compliant in each context.

Requirements include:

  • Experience in developing HR systems, policies, and procedures in an international setting.
  • Strong project management, people management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of employment law and the ability to interpret and apply it.
  • Organisational skills with a proven record in workforce planning and organisational readiness.
  • Flexibility, solution-focus, research skills, and the ability to analyse information from multiple sources.
  • Driven, committed to high standards, and aligned with MAG's mission, vision, and values.
