Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a Cardiff-based organisation on a part-time basis. The role is hands-on, generalist, and requires autonomy in managing a broad range of HR matters while supporting managers and staff.

The position covers day-to-day HR advice, employee relations, policy development, recruitment and onboarding, and contributing to the development of the HR function as the organisation evolves. 22 hours per week with flexible pattern.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualified, with a completed professional qualification.
• At least 3 years' generalist HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations and employment legislation.
• Able to work autonomously and confidently manage a varied HR workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day generalist HR advice and support across the organisation.
• Manage employee relations matters including grievances, performance and sensitive conversations.
• Advise managers on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Review, develop and maintain HR policies and processes.
• Support employee wellbeing and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Provide practical guidance to managers on people-related matters.
• Manage general recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting managers with vacancies and inductions.
• Work independently, taking ownership of HR issues through to resolution.
• Liaise with external HR/legal advisers when specialist support is required.
• Support the wider development of the HR function as the organisation evolves.
