Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our client in Cardiff on a part-time basis. The role is hands-on and generalist, ideal for someone who can independently manage a broad range of HR matters and support managers and employees.

Key responsibilities include day-to-day HR advice, employee relations, policy review, recruitment support and ensuring compliant HR practices across the organisation.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualified with a completed professional qualification.
• At least 3 years' generalist HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations and employment legislation.
• Able to work autonomously and manage a varied HR workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day generalist HR advice and support across the organisation.
• Manage employee relations matters including grievances, performance and other sensitive conversations.
• Advise managers on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Review, develop and maintain HR policies and processes.
• Support employee wellbeing and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Provide practical advice and guidance to managers on people-related matters.
• Manage general recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting managers with vacancies, new starter processes and inductions.
• Work independently, taking ownership of HR issues through to resolution.
• Liaise with external HR/legal advisers where specialist support is required.
• Support the wider development of the HR function as the organisation evolves.
