Job summary

GXO Logistics seeks an experienced HR Manager to support the Costa contract across the southern region. You will partner with operational leaders, trade unions and HR colleagues to deliver people initiatives and drive engagement across sites.

Based at Greenford with travel to Avonmouth and Willand, this permanent role is for 3 or 4 days per week, pro-rata salary and benefits. You will coach managers and handle ER, absence, disciplinary matters, contributing to a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards level 5 in HR.
• Experience in employee relations, disciplinary, absence management and TU engagement.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites.

Responsibilities

Job description

Join GXO as an HR Manager supporting the Costa contract across our southern region. Working closely with operational leaders, trade unions and HR colleagues, you'll help deliver people initiatives, support employee relations matters and drive engagement across the region. This is a varied role where you'll coach managers, build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to a positive and consistent employee experience. This is a permanent position working 3 or 4 days per week, between Monday and Friday. Based primarily at Greenford, you'll also provide support to our Avonmouth and Willand sites. Flexibility will be required to accommodate travel and ensure visibility and support across all locations.

Pay, benefits and more:

We're offering a full-time equivalent salary of £44,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). For 3 or 4 days per week, salary and holiday entitlement will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Partner with site operational leaders to deliver the people plan across Greenford, Willand (Devon) and Avonmouth (Bristol), ensuring HR initiative support business objectives
• Coach and develop managers, helping to build capability in people management, performance management, succession planning and overall employee experience
• Lead and manage employee relations cases, providing expert advice on disciplinary, grievance absence management and dispute resolution matters
• Build strong relationships with Trade Unions and key stakeholders, supporting consultation processes
• Analyse HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities to improve engagement, retention, diversity and performance

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards level 5) with proven experience operating at HR advisor level or above
• Strong employee relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance absence management, dispute resolution and trade union engagement
• Excellent stakeholder management and coaching skills with the ability to influence and support managers at all levels of the business
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across multiple sites, with the flexibility to support a 24/7 operational environment
