Job summary

Ciwmjobs is seeking an HR Manager for an engineering organisation in a standalone, office-based role within a mid-sized business. You will lead day-to-day HR activities, manage recruitment, and drive workforce planning while supporting career development, performance management, and apprenticeship programmes.

The role requires credible communication with senior leaders, strong employment-process knowledge, and the ability to operate autonomously in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day HR activities and managing them independently.
• Significant recruitment and workforce planning experience.
• Strong communication with all levels of the organisation.
• Comfortable in a standalone role and dealing directly with senior leadership.
• Solid knowledge of employment processes and commercially aware.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to a skilled workforce.
• Manage recruitment and candidate management with a focus on workforce planning.
• Support HR projects from start to finish and maintain existing processes.
• Assist in supporting employee career paths, learning journeys and performance management.
• Handle absence management and advise senior leadership on HR matters.
• Support changing workforce needs and redundancy implications where required.
• Support apprenticeship and graduate/talent programmes.
