Job summary

CV Screen Ltd. is recruiting a standalone HR Manager near Godalming, Surrey, to own the entire people agenda and partner with the leadership team while delivering day-to-day HR.

You will lead recruitment, HRIS, policies, compliance with UK employment law, and develop L&D and career progression programs while coaching leaders across a technical environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an HR generalist, ideally within an engineering, consulting or technical setting.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and a track record of designing effective L&D programmes.
• CIPD Level 5 or above (Level 7 advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the HR function, from policies and HRIS through to the complete employee lifecycle and UK employment law compliance.
• Lead recruitment and workforce planning, managing the ATS, agency relationships and hiring managers.
• Design and roll out learning, development and career progression programmes, coaching leaders on people management.
• Handle employee relations matters such as grievances, disciplinaries and absence, and drive retention and engagement initiatives.
• Build meaningful people metrics and provide regular insight to the leadership team.

HR Manager - Standalone

CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a standalone HR Manager on behalf of a growing, engineering-led consultancy based near Godalming, Surrey, offering a salary of up to £60,000 plus benefits. Our client uses data and engineering expertise to solve complex, high-value problems for major organisations across manufacturing, defence, maritime and wider industry. As the sole HR professional in the business, you will own the entire people agenda, partnering closely with the leadership team while rolling up your sleeves to deliver day-to-day HR. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and build a people function within a genuinely exciting, technical environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and a track record of designing effective L&D programmes.
• CIPD Level 5 or above (Level 7 advantageous), plus the confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior leaders.

Salary & Benefits

Salary up to £60,000, plus a competitive benefits package.

Location

Godalming, Surrey (working pattern to be confirmed). Easily commutable from Guildford, Farnham, Haslemere, Cranleigh, Woking and Milford.
