Job summary

GetRecruited UK Ltd is recruiting an experienced HR Manager for an on‑site role in Manchester. You will lead the day‑to‑day HR function across the group, providing commercially focused advice to managers and handling complex employee relations matters.

You'll manage a small HR team, oversee recruitment and the full employee lifecycle, and ensure compliance with UK employment legislation. The role is on‑site with excellent benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR Manager or senior operational HR role.
• Experience in security, events, high-volume hospitality, logistics or a similar fast-paced environment.
• CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Proven experience managing disciplinary, grievance, TUPE and restructuring processes.
• Previous experience leading, motivating and developing an HR team.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence managers at all levels.
• Experience using HR, ATS and scheduling systems; proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for occasional travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage employee relations matters across the group, ensuring best practice and compliance with UK employment legislation
• Advise, coach and support managers on performance management, employment law, HR policies and procedures
• Manage complex casework including disciplinary and grievance processes, absence management, TUPE transfers, restructures and consultation
• Lead, motivate and develop a small HR team, monitoring workloads and maintaining an efficient, high‑quality service
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, probation, performance reviews, development and offboarding
• Support accurate HR administration and assist the team with payroll‑related queries
• Review, update and implement HR policies, processes and procedures
• Promote employee wellbeing, welfare, engagement and recognition initiatives
• Provide operational managers with practical support on day‑to‑day people matters
• Manage HR, ATS and scheduling systems, supporting new system implementations where required
• Drive continuous improvement across the HR department and ensure the function remains visible and engaged

As the organisation continues to expand, they are seeking a confident and commercially focused HR Manager to lead its operational HR function, manage a small HR team and provide expert support across the wider business.

The Role

About You

We're looking for an experienced and credible HR professional who can confidently manage complex employee relations matters while leading a small team in a high‑volume environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience in an HR Manager or senior operational HR role
• Experience within security, events, high‑volume hospitality, logistics, retail or a similarly fast‑paced workforce environment
• CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification
• Extensive employee relations experience and strong knowledge of UK employment legislation
• Proven experience managing disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, TUPE and restructuring processes
• Previous experience leading, motivating and developing an HR team
• Strong relationship‑building skills with the confidence to influence managers at all levels
• Experience using HR, ATS and workforce scheduling systems, alongside strong Microsoft Excel skills
• A proactive, hands‑on and commercially focused approach
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for occasional travel between sites
