Get Recruited Ltd in Trafford Park, Manchester, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the operational HR function, manage a small team and provide practical support across the business. This on-site role focuses on employee relations, policy compliance and delivering high-quality HR services.

You will advise managers, handle complex ER cases, oversee recruitment and onboarding, and drive continuous improvement across HR processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR Manager or senior operational HR role.
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
• CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage employee relations matters across the group ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
• Advise, coach and support managers on performance, policies and procedures.
• Manage complex casework including disciplinary, grievance, absence, TUPE and restructures.
• Lead, motivate and develop a small HR team and monitor workloads for delivery of high-quality service.

• Review and implement HR policies and drive continuous improvement across the function.

Are you an experienced, hands-on HR Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment?

Get Recruited is proud to be partnering with a growing group business based in Trafford Park. As the organisation continues to expand, they are seeking a confident and commercially focused HR Manager to lead its operational HR function, manage a small HR team and provide expert support across the wider business.

This is a highly visible, on-site role where you'll work closely with managers and employees, take ownership of complex employee relations matters and deliver practical HR solutions. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the operation and wants to play a key role in shaping a responsive, approachable and high-quality HR service.

THE ROLE

As HR Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day HR function across the group, ensuring managers receive clear, commercially focused advice and all people processes remain compliant, consistent and effective.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage employee relations matters across the group, ensuring best practice and compliance with UK employment legislation
• Advise, coach and support managers on performance management, employment law, HR policies and procedures
• Manage complex casework including disciplinary and grievance processes, absence management, TUPE transfers, organisational restructures and consultation
• Lead, motivate and develop a small HR team, monitoring workloads and maintaining an efficient, high-quality service
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, probation, performance reviews, employee development and offboarding
• Support accurate HR administration and assist the team with payroll-related queries
• Review, update and implement HR policies, processes and procedures
• Promote employee wellbeing, welfare, engagement and recognition initiatives
• Provide operational managers with practical support on day-to-day people matters
• Manage HR, ATS and scheduling systems, supporting new system implementations where required
• Drive continuous improvement across the HR department and ensure the function remains visible, approachable and engaged

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced and credible HR professional who can confidently manage complex employee relations matters while leading a small team in a high-volume environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrable experience in an HR Manager or senior operational HR role
• Experience within security, events, high-volume hospitality, logistics, retail or a similarly fast-paced workforce environment
• CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification
• Extensive employee relations experience and strong knowledge of UK employment legislation
• Proven experience managing disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, TUPE and restructuring processes
• Previous experience leading, motivating and developing an HR team
• Strong relationship-building skills with the confidence to influence managers at all levels
• Experience using HR, ATS and workforce scheduling systems, alongside strong Microsoft Excel skills
• A proactive, hands-on and commercially focused approach
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for occasional travel between sites
