Job summary

Blue Tree HR Solutions is seeking an experienced HR professional to support a range of business clients on a part-time basis. The role involves advising on grievances, disciplinaries and redundancies, with practical, fair guidance for managers and staff.

Based in Earls Colne, 16 hours per week over 4 days, with occasional travel to Essex, Suffolk and London. CIPD Level 5+ is required to ensure compliance with UK employment law.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR role.
• Experience handling disciplinaries, grievances, dismissals and redundancies.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with good judgement and discretion.
• CIPD qualification at Level 5 or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee performance issues with guidance to line managers.
• Lead and advise on disciplinary processes from investigation to outcome.
• Handle grievances fairly, thoroughly and in line with policy.
• Manage dismissal processes, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
• Support and administer redundancy processes including consultation.
• Provide clear, practical HR advice to managers and clients.
• Produce documentation including letters, contracts and policies.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Keep up to date with employment law and ensure compliance.

Blue Tree HR Solutions is looking for an experienced HR professional to support a range of business clients.

You’ll give clear, practical advice and help clients handle people matters with confidence. You’ll have hands-on experience of grievances, disciplinaries and redundancy processes, along with the judgement to guide people through sensitive situations calmly and fairly.

You’ll enjoy building relationships with clients, getting to know their businesses and finding solutions that work in practice.

This is a part-time role working 16 hours per week over 4 days, based in Earls colne, with occasion travel to visit clients in Essex, Suffolk and London.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage employee performance issues, providing guidance and support to line managers
• Lead and advise on disciplinary processes, from investigation through to outcome
• Handle grievances fairly, thoroughly and in line with policy and legislation
• Manage dismissal processes, ensuring legal compliance and best practice throughout
• Support and administer redundancy processes, including consultation
• Provide clear, practical HR advice to managers and clients

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar senior HR role
• Demonstrable experience handling disciplinaries, grievances, dismissals and redundancies
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with sound judgement and discretion
• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) required
