Job summary

AWE plc is offering an apprenticeship in HR, based on site at Green Park. You will explore People, Culture and Communications teams, gaining exposure to employee support, recruitment, development and reward processes.

Applicants must have 5 GCSEs including Maths and English, be British nationals aged 18+ by 31 August 2027, and be willing to obtain security clearance. The programme starts with an in-person assessment and progresses toward joining on 1 September 2027.

• Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain security clearance.

• Learn how HR supports employees, managers, recruitment, development, reward and workplace queries.
• Work onsite at Green Park to understand how the business operates and to build relationships across HR.

Job description

Where this apprenticeship could take you After completing your apprenticeship, you could move into roles such as HR Coordinator, HR Advisor, HR Associate, Reward Advisor, HR Analyst or HR Advisor Onboarding, depending on business need and your interests.

1. 1. Online application Submit one apprenticeship application before the role closes.
2. 2. Online testing If eligible, you'll complete numerical, verbal, logical and cognitive reasoning assessments. Practice materials will be available.
3. 3. Assessment centre Successful candidates will be invited to an in-person assessment centre, currently scheduled for 10 December 2026.
4. 4. Offer, medical and clearance If successful, you'll move into the offer, medical and security-clearance stages ahead of joining on 1 September 2027.
