Job summary

BDO UK is seeking a capable Generalist HR professional to provide commercially focused HR support across Central Operations for around 900 colleagues. You will coach managers, handle employee relations cases, and deliver strategic people initiatives in a fast-paced professional services setting.

With strong knowledge of UK employment law and a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards), you will drive cyclical HR processes and use data insights to inform people decisions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience operating in a generalist HR role.
• Experience in a professional services or fast-paced environment is desirable.
• Proven experience managing employee relations cases independently.
• Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience leading cyclical HR processes and people initiatives.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards.
• Excellent communication, judgement and decision-making skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercially focused HR support across Central Operations for around 900 colleagues.
• Build stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor on people matters.
• Lead on strategic people priorities and day-to-day HR activities.
• Oversee employee relations matters including disciplinary and performance cases.
• Deliver cyclical HR processes: performance reviews, promotions, talent reviews and salary reviews.
• Use people data to identify trends and support decision-making.
