Job summary

Communicate Recruitment Solutions Ltd in London is seeking an HR Manager to build the HR function from scratch for a privately backed, rapidly scaling business. You will design and implement core people processes, policies, and governance to support growth across field and office teams.

As the first dedicated People hire, you will lead end‑to‑end recruitment, TUPE and post‑acquisition integrations, compensation design with Finance, and establish a scalable employee relations and performance

Qualifications

• Proven track record standing up/rebuilding an HR function in a high-growth environment (startup, venture, or carve-out).
• Hands-on M&A and TUPE post-acquisition integrations experience.
• Full lifecycle recruitment experience at pace without reliance on agencies.
• Strong UK employment law knowledge with governance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build HR infrastructure: select/implement HRIS/ATS, draft contracts, policy handbooks, GDPR compliance, reporting packs.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment for field and head office roles and design onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Drive M&A and TUPE integration including measures letters, terms harmonisation, and cultural alignment.
• Design performance frameworks, career paths, and salary bandings in collaboration with Finance and Group HR.
• Serve as escalation point for casework, coach managers, and foster engagement across dispersed teams.
• Collaborate with Group HR, Reward, and Payroll for governance and due diligence.
