Job summary

DLP Services Northern Ltd is seeking an experienced HR & Recruitment Manager to own the HR function across the business. You will lead recruitment campaigns, onboarding, and employee relations, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and company policies.

Reporting to Directors, you will develop people strategies, produce HR metrics for leadership, and drive continuous improvements in onboarding, performance management, and workforce planning.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
• Experience overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the HR function.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through to exit.
• Manage recruitment campaigns, candidate selection, offers, references, and onboarding processes.
• Coordinate new starter requirements including contracts, induction plans, equipment, system access, uniforms, mobile phones, vehicles, and employment documentation.
• Advise and support managers on disciplinary, grievance, investigation, capability, attendance, conduct, and performance matters.
• Manage absence reporting, return-to-work processes, and attendance monitoring.
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
• Review and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Produce HR reports and people metrics for senior leadership.
• Support workforce planning, retention initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
