Job summary

YU Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong payroll focus to support payroll processing, right-to-work checks and immigration compliance. The role also covers employee relations, pension administration and HR data management across PeopleHR.

You will liaise with managers and external providers, ensuring policy adherence, data integrity and timely reporting while driving process improvements and excellent employee support.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience conducting right-to-work checks and immigration compliance.
• Knowledge of employment law and ER casework best practices.
• Familiarity with HR systems and data protection requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing: accurate administration and data validation.
• First-line payroll queries support for employees and managers.
• Manage Paycircle portal access and user assistance.
• Right to Work checks and immigration compliance.
• Sponsorship Licence management and reporting duties.
• Vetting checks to ensure policy compliance.
• Employee Relations casework handling with fairness.
• Pension administration and query resolution.
• Data management and reporting with HR systems.
• System administration for PeopleHR and process automation.
• Generalist HR duties including recruitment, onboarding, training.
• Lead induction programs for new starters.
• Attention to detail across all HR/payroll activities.
• Benefits administration and annual salary reviews.
