Job summary

ARC Group in Wisbech is seeking a HR Generalist to join a private, established business with 40+ years in the social housing sector. The role covers the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and payroll support.

You will work closely with the Head of HR, managers and senior leadership, providing practical advice, coordinating recruitment, handling contracts, records and compliance, and supporting payroll processes in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience advising managers on HR issues.
• Experience leading recruitment for white-collar roles.
• Experience with onboarding, payroll, and HR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees.
• Lead recruitment for white-collar positions.
• Manage offers, contracts, onboarding and employee documentation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.
• Support disciplinary, grievance, investigation and absence processes.
• Assist with appraisals, inductions, interviews and exit interviews.
• Coordinate annual leave and absence records.
• Support payroll, including timesheets, overtime, mileage, OOH payments and pensions.
• Liaise with the outsourced payroll provider and assist with reconciliation.
• Ensure HR processes remain compliant with current legislation.
