Job summary

Templewood Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Generalist HR professional to join the HR team, split between South West London/Kingston and Slough head office with travel to homes as required. The role focuses on Employee Relations and business partnering to support operational managers with disciplinary, grievance, attendance and performance matters.

You will help ensure staff records and training compliance, coach managers, and contribute to HR projects in a people-first organisation.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE at least 2 years’ generalist experience, ideally with Employee Relations and performance management.
• Strong spoken English; listening, writing, communication and presentation skills
• Full driving licence and use of own car to visit company homes if required
• People centric and able to positively engage the workforce
• Experience of working with, and advising line managers
• Good IT and communication skills, including the use of Excel
• Team orientated and results & outcome focused
• Confidence to work across all levels of the business

Responsibilities

• Support the operations management team to deal with performance concerns using company policies and procedures
• Coach and mentor managers to deliver HR and employment best practice
• Build effective relationships with line managers and upskill them in managing staff issues
• Review staff supervisions to identify early performance concerns and interventions
• Ensure disciplinary and grievance procedures are applied appropriately
• Complete exit interviews and feedback to management to improve retention
• Work with operations to ensure staff appraisals and supervisions are conducted effectively
• Handle HR matters fairly and in line with legal and company requirements
